Prebiotics VS Probiotics

We want to breakdown the buzzwords we all hear thrown around in the wellness space and make your own wellness feel accessible, so today let's chat about probiotics & probiotics!

• Prebiotic is a term for the fiber that passes through the human body (we cannot digest it) and feeds the bacteria in our gut microbiome. When our microbiome is full of healthy bacteria and we keep them well fed with prebiotic fiber, we get to reap all of the benefits of a healthy gut!

• Probiotic is a term referring to the beneficial bacteria that reside in our gut and help with everything from digestion, mood regulation, weight management, mental clarity, immunity, and more. We can replenish bacteria that has been killed off by poor diet, stress, antibiotic use and other factors through supplementation, and perhaps (the science is still unclear) with probiotic rich foods.
